Find the local.xml in local \\\magento\app\etc\local.xml

    I don’t drop many remarks, however i did some searching and wound up here Magento where is database configuration file? | Sanjoy Roy. And I actually do have a few questions for you if it’s allright.
    Is it just me or does it look as if like some of the remarks appear
    as if they are written by brain dead visitors?😛 And, if you are writing at other places,
    I would like to follow everything new you have to post.
    Would you list of the complete urls of your shared pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin
    profile?

    Thank you sanjoy for sharing this quick info.
    We can edit:
    ~MagentoRoot~/app/etc/local.xml

    In case you get an error connecting, check
    host,
    username,
    password,
    dbname

    Thanks, but there is another file in /app/etc/ config.xml and i see host,db and password as well.. so i transfer file frm localhost to live server.do i need to change in config.xml file as well?
